Want to Bin Your Plastics? - Cricket Club, Thursday 11th October
We now know the horrendous damage that plastic pollution is doing to our wildlife, our oceans and our planet - but how do we stem the tide? To find out more about what you can put in your blue bin and what happens to it afterwards? Come and hear David Allerton, Lichfield Council Recycling Officer tell all about what can and can't be recycled and where it all goes from the bin. Sisters Against Plastic will then talk about their experience of trying to live without plastic. Alongside the talks there will be a display of plastic-free products by the Clean Kilo, the UK's largest zero waste supermarket, based in Birmingham.
All on the 11th October at Whittington Cricket Club. Doors open, bar, coffee, tea and cake from 7pm. Talks will start at 7.30. Free entry - all ages welcome.
