Solar 500 Group Scheme

The Fair saw the launch of our Solar 500 project - WFEG (and partner LoCaL - Low Carbon Lichfield) have negotiated two great offers to enable as many people as possible to generate their own solar electricity either at a great discount - or free.

The installers are New World Solar, a fully accredited local renewable energy installation company. They pride themselves on high quality installations and customer satisfaction. If your roof faces between south-east and south-west and is un-shaded then it may well be suitable for either of the two options available..........

Option 1 - Pay Upfront

You can purchase panels at a really great price from local installers, New World Solar. The benefits of this option are that you:

  • Receive a generous 'feed-in tariff' paid for all the electricity that your system generates - tax-free, inflation-proofed for 25 years.
  • Obtain free electricity when the sun shines.
  • Reduce your carbon emissions.

Option 2 - Free Panels

The Panels will be paid for and owned by a Harborne-based company to whom you would lease your roof for a 25 year period. The panels and lease agreement would pass to the new owners when you sell your home. The benefits of this option are that you:

  • Obtain free electricity when the sun shines.
  • Reduce your carbon emissions.
  • No upfront or ongoing maintenance costs.
