WFEG Dates for your Diary 2012 are:

• Daffodil Walk - Fisherwick Wood Lane Whittington near Lichfield Staffordshire WS13 8QG

  Sunday 11th March, 10.30 - 12.30

  Enjoy a stroll around Woodhouse Farm and Fisherwick Woods to see the carpets of wild daffodils and other early spring flowers. See the remains of the Capability Brown landscape and find out about progress on the farm.

   

  £1.50 for adults - £1 for children & concessions.

   

  Coffee and home-made cakes provided

   

  Walking boots or wellies essential.

   

  Dogs on leads welcome.

• Climate Week 2012 - Nationwide

  12th March - 18th March

   Climate Week 2012 will take place between 12 - 18 March 2012.

• Coach Trip to Ludlow Market and Paul Hand's Garden Leintwardine - Ludlow/Leintwardine

  Sunday 25th March, Time TBC

  WFEG is organising a coach trip on Saturday 25th March to visit Ludlow market and then Paul Hand’s garden in Leintwardine where he will give a talk on apple growing and a demonstration on fruit tree grafting – the grafting will focus mainly on the Staffordshire apple Roland Smith which was a great hit at the Whittington Apple Day market in October.

   

  You can expect to bring back a Roland Smith on a Mm 106 rootstock. Prices and times will be confirmed but numbers will be strictly limited so if you are interested please contact Mike via email mike@wfeg.org.uk or by phone at 01543 432238.
